Sweet Belém, Sydney’s much-loved Portuguese bakery, has opened its second location right here at The Streets of Barangaroo, bringing its cult-favourite Portuguese custard tarts and traditional pastries to the heart of our waterfront precinct. Family-owned and renowned for its handcrafted pastéis de nata, Sweet Belém has built a loyal following at its original Petersham store through a dedication to authentic Portuguese baking and quality craftsmanship.

Led by chef and owner Jose Silva, the new Barangaroo bakery offers all the favourites from Petersham, including its signature Portuguese tarts, alongside sweet treats such as bola de Berlim and vanilla slice, plus a range of savoury pastries. The expansion marks an exciting new chapter for the beloved bakery, introducing its authentic Portuguese flavours to Barangaroo’s growing community of workers, visitors and locals.
