The sculptured lines of the building reflect its namesake inspiration - A Sydney cockle
Designed by internationally renowned architect Richard Francis-Jones, of FJMT, Anadara is a floating architectural feat that invokes space, freedom and movement.
Taking complete advantage of the highly desired location on the harbourfront, the building utilises high ceilings and full height walls of glass that blur the lines between the outdoor terraces and interior living spaces.
Says Richard Francis Jones: “In creating these spaces, we were drawn to the glittering harbour view, the way the light moves across the water and the reflectivity of the water.”
“What’s special about these spaces is that they always maintain their outward-looking perspective. Subtle curves mimic the exterior cloud-like form and everything is always channelling you through to the view,” adds Iain Halliday, the interior architect of Anadara.
